This is a small, invite-only pilot league, not a public product. Here is exactly what the app stores about you, why, and who else ever sees it.
What we collect
- Your email address and display name, from when you were invited or first signed in.
- A team name, if you set one — kept per league, since the same person can play in more than one.
- The picks you make each week, and the points ledger they produce.
- Sign-in codes and sessions — these are stored as one-way hashes, never as the actual code or a reusable secret. A sign-in code expires in minutes; a signed-in session can last up to 30 days.
- A record of the sign-in codes and reminder emails sent to you — whether each one was delivered, and if not, why.
- A permanent log of commissioner and admin actions that affect you — a role change, a deactivation, a correction to your team name — kept as a record separate from the points ledger.
We never collect a password, and we never collect any payment information, in any form. The game is points only (see the Terms of Use), so there is nothing financial to collect.
Why we collect it
Every piece of data above exists to run the league: to know who you are, let you make and see your own picks, keep a fair and auditable points record, and reach you with a sign-in code or a reminder before your picks are due. Nothing is collected for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running this game.
Who it’s shared with
Your email address and sign-in codes pass through Resend, the service that delivers sign-in emails and weekly reminders. That is the only third party any of your data is ever shared with — nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
The app also reads from ESPN’s public scoreboard, The Odds API, and TheRundown for schedules, lines and scores. These are read-only feeds the app calls out to fetch public sports data — no data about you or your picks is ever sent to any of them.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your league runs. The points ledger is an append-only, auditable record of the season — it is not deleted, and it is not trimmed, because a partial or edited ledger could not be trusted by anyone still playing. The same is true of the audit trail of commissioner and admin actions and the record of notifications sent to you: both are kept indefinitely, for the same reason, and are never sold or shared. A sign-in code expires in minutes and cannot be reused after that; a session lasts up to 30 days from sign-in before it has to be renewed.
This pilot has no self-service delete button, because of that same append-only ledger. If you want to stop playing, a request to your commissioner (or to us, if you cannot reach them) deactivates your membership: your future participation stops from the next week that has not yet locked, and your existing pick and ledger history is kept exactly as it is, for the integrity of the season — not sold, not shared, and not shown to anyone who could not already see it.
